As Southern Indiana portrait photographers, we have had the opportunity to photograph at some stunning locations throughout the years. Here are our top 5 favorite spots in Louisville and Southern Indiana for family, maternity, couples, and senior portrait sessions!

1. St. James Court – Old Louisville

This location screams timeless elegance. The beautiful architecture, cobblestone streets, fountain, and greenery make this Louisville family photo location a photographer’s dream.

2. Flower Field – Elizabethtown, KY

Sometimes, the best locations are discovered unexpectedly. Once a year for about a week, this beautiful poppy field blooms on the side of the road in Elizabethtown, KY! While it’s quite literally on the side of the highway, this has become one of our favorite locations. We’ll need to time it right, but when the flowers are in bloom, it’s worth every minute of the drive.

3. Mount Saint Francis – Floyds Knobs, Indiana

At Mount Saint Francis, you’re getting multiple location options in one. This location offers a gorgeous wooded tree line, multiple open fields, and a beautiful lake. We always recommend this location for nature lovers. This Southern Indiana photography location is perfect for families, couples, maternity and senior sessions.

4. The Falls of the Ohio – Jeffersonville, Indiana

This is a scenic location in Southern Indiana for people who like a little adventure. This location is unique and absolutely gorgeous, but we typically don’t recommend this one for families with babies and toddlers as it can be difficult to walk down to the location. This location is perfect for maternity, couple’s sessions, and families with children older than 5.

5. Studio Sessions

If you’re not a fan of outdoor photo sessions, we have a few different studio options ranging from Corydon, Indiana to Louisville, Kentucky. This is a great option especially for young children or unpredictable weather.
